Texas' Littlejohn earns Batter of the Month award
It's the 3rd time that the American League Batter of 
the Month award goes to Texas' designated hitter <a 
href=p29.html>Henry Littlejohn</a>. Henry was on fire, 
hitting .364 with 11 homeruns and 32 RBI. Henry is 
hitting .342 this year, with 198 hits in 579 at bats. 
He has driven in 138 runs, slugging .629. He's 7th 
in the American League in batting and 5th in RBI! The 
National League's best player of the month was Atlanta's 
<a href=p852.html>Luis Perdomo</a>, who wins the award 
for the 1st time in his career. He hit .404 with 27 
RBI and slugged .820 in 89 at bats. Perdomo has walked 
53 times this year and posts a .371 OBP. While batting 
.312, 171 for 548, he has driven in 112 runs.
